Bowling Patch
![]() Why is my betta darting up and down the tank really fast and erradically? Just recently upgraded from a half gallon to a 2 gallon tank. Ever since he swims frantically up and down vertically, gasping for air at the top sometimes. He'll either just float at the surface of the water or hang out at the bottom against the rock. Also, he opens and closes his mouth really quickly while doing this like he is yelling at me! I'm wondering if he has an internal parasite of some sort that is changing his swimming patterns. So I added betta revive to the tank and so far it has not helped. What could be the problem? There are no signs of fin rot, white patches, just a little bit of gray color around his face but he had that in his smaller bowl too. I have no idea where most of these posters are getting there information from but they are incorrect. If you do not add some aquarium salt (1 teaspoon per 5 gal) to your betta’s water to prevent parasites, your Betta may get some parasites.. but note that each parasite has its own shape. The use of a magnifying glass will be helpful to help SEE them on your fish's skin. SYMPTOMS: TREATMENT: Coppersafe: |

This simple recipe is hot favorite among all the family members. It is easy to cook and great to taste. At the beginning of the chilly winter months, it is great when served hot at your table. It takes a little longer to cook but the taste that it will offer you at the end is just awesome. Here is the simple recipe of this delicious soup.
Ingredients
Lean ground beef – 1 pound
1 sliced onion
Ranch-style beans – 1 (15 ounce) can
Ground cumin – 1/4 teaspoon
3 cloves of minced garlic
Chopped cabbage – 2 and 1/2 cups
1 chopped green bell pepper
Stewed tomatoes, with liquid – 1 (14.5 ounce) can
2 stocks chopped celery
Picante sauce – 1/4 cup
One cup water
Pinch of salt or just to taste
Pinch of freshly ground pepper
Directions
Take a large deep frying pan and heat it on medium flame Stir-fry the onion and ground beef until they become golden brown; then, drain the excess fat.
Mix the remaining ingredients such as garlic, ranch-style beans, cabbage, cumin and green pepper in a crock-pot. Mix in celery, stewed tomatoes, picante sauce, beef and water in that mixture. Season it with salt and pepper according to your taste.
Put a lid on to cover the entire soup and cook it for 6 to 8 hours, so that all the ingredients mix well and lend their separate taste to that mixture.
It is best when served hot in beautiful serving bowls with bread. You can serve it with rice also if you really like to do some experimenting. Use homemade cheddar cheese as toppings, grate on the soup, and serve it with homemade onion bread. You can freeze this soup and serve your guests after heating it.
